Cumberland Terrace Drainage Clean & CCTV

You will be aware of the ongoing drainage issues at Cumberland Terrace, with the north end of the garden flooding. I have spoken with Thames Water and a team will be on site Saturday 30 October between 8:00 – 12:00 to undertake a full clean and CCTV of the drainage lines. The works are very minimal with no requirement for any excavation. TCs have all the relevant documentation required for the works and will monitor

Thames Water on site. If you have any issues on the day, please do not hesitate to contact the TCs on the regular security number – 07774938715 If you have any questions prior to these works, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Dog Fouling in Park Square & Crescent

There has been a recent persistent problem of dog fouling in Park Square & Crescent.

If you are a dog owner, please note that the CEPC’s Garden Regulations state that dogs are not allowed to foul in the gardens and that they should be kept on leads at all times. Please can dog owners ensure that they bring the appropriate bags when they visit to collect any dog fouling and place in the bins provided around the gardens. Dog fouling makes maintaining your garden areas an unpleasant task for the gardeners and constitutes a health hazard. It is dangerous as contact with dog excrement can cause toxocariasis, an infection that can lead to dizziness, nausea, asthma and even blindness or seizures. We do not expect CEPC Gardeners to work in such an environment. It is also not fair on other garden users who want to enjoy the green spaces. Please can you ensure that all family members, household staff, contractors and visitors are aware of the relevant Garden Regulations.

Turfing Works in Chester Terrace

Further to my email on 6 August 2021, and the feedback which I have since received, I would like to take this opportunity to inform all residents that we will be undertaking turfing works in Chester Terrace garden. These works will commence on Monday 18 October 2021 and will last approximately x1 week. There will be x2 areas reinstated as lawn. The exhausted rose bed as previously discussed along with the area where the Ash tree was removed (please see the plan below). This will provide much more useable space for all garden users. Please note that the garden will still be available for use during the period of works.

Waterloo East and Sterling Square Gardens Lawn Renovation Works

We wish to advise you that from Monday 11th October for a week, Autumn lawn renovation works are to be carried out in Waterloo East and Sterling Square CEPC gardens. These works will involve aeration, scarification, overseeding and fertilization of the lawns and will require the use of large machinery. All appropriate Risk Assessments and Method Statements have been approved by the CEPC along with further COVID 19 Site Specific Control Measures. Whilst this work is being undertaken both these gardens will be closed for use, however Waterloo West garden will still be open. We will strive to keep disruption to a minimum for garden users.

Once the work is complete lawns areas will be cordoned off for non-use to allow the newly seeded areas to establish. We would appreciate if you would please heed these cordons. We apologise for the inconvenience these works may cause you, but the benefit will soon be seen and enjoyed by all.
