Domestic Refuse
Although the CEPC originally offered a refuse collection service to all properties on the estate, it has now handed over these services to the Local Authorities. Westminster City Council provides a collection service to its domestic residents on the west side of the estate and Camden Borough Council to those on the east.
Businesses on the estate are required to make arrangements with either their Local Authority or a contractor of their choice.
Residents are requested to leave out their refuse in suitable containers by 8.00 am on the collection day.
Please don’t leave your refuse out on any other days or before 8.00 am as this is unsightly and creates bad smells. It also forms a potential health hazard and encourages vermin.
The best way for most residents to present their refuse for collection is in a wheeled bin with a lid. Each Local Authority will advise residents on the preferred method for their terrace.
Do not put into your bin: oil, paint, building rubble, asbestos, chemicals, pesticides or weed killer or any toxic materials. If you are in any doubt about what can go into your bin for safe disposal – please ask your council first.
