We write to provide an update on the progress of the Chester Terrace project and advise you of some upcoming activities that may impact you.
As highlighted in our previous communication, the groundworks have now been completed. The contractor has then been focusing on the balustrade and landscaping works. The original balustrade has been reconstructed, cleaned, and partially painted. The new balustrade is now full constructed.
The remaining works include:
Installation of the lamp columns along the Terrace.
Rebuilding the dwarf wall/piers on the Outer Circle.
Resurfacing part of the roadway.
Finishing and painting the balustrade.
Reseeding the garden lawn areas in the central section.
To facilitate the roadway resurfacing works, there may be a temporary road closure on Chester Terrace one day this week. Once this have been confirmed, we will let you know as soon as possible. We apologise for the short notice of this closure.
From 9am to 2pm on Friday 24 July 2026, there will be an additional road closure to accommodate a large delivery at one of the properties along Chester Terrace.
The anticipated completion date for the project is Thursday 17 September 2026. As advised in our previous update, we will continue to review opportunities to release access to the garden and any parking spaces on Chester Terrace before the project completion date and will notify residents and ratepayers should this become possible. Please note this date is subject to change.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and would like to thank you for your continued patience and cooperation throughout these works.
