Moving In/Out
Moving In
Helpful information for new residents
Parking for Removal Vehicles
- Only authorised vehicles may park on Commission-managed terrace roadways. If you are using a removal vehicle, you will need to arrange a parking suspension. You or your removal company can do this directly with us.
- We ask for a minimum of two working days’ notice, and we will usually be able to place cones to reserve a suitable space close to your property. Please note that space is subject to availability and not guaranteed.
- Please be aware that some terraces cannot accommodate large vehicles or containers. Contact us in advance with your arrangements so we can confirm suitability and make adjustments if needed. It is important to know the type, size and weight of the proposed vehicles involved.
- If you are planning to use a hoist or crane, you will also need to get in touch with us to arrange appropriate access and a licence.
- Getting in touch early helps avoids delays and ensures your move is as seamless as possible.
Staying in Contact
We encourage all new residents to share their up-to-date contact information with us. This helps us advise you of issues that will affect you or your property, such as:
- Works that will impact access or parking for your property
- Works or events in your private garden enclosure that will impact your access
- Anything that will affect the estate more widely such as road closures or diversions
You can submit your contact details using this form or by emailing us with your name, address, and preferred phone numbers and email address(es).
Terrace Gardens
We hope you will enjoy your terrace garden and make the most of this shared green space. The Commission welcomes feedback on our work in the gardens, please contact us if you have any queries.
If your garden has a gate, you will need a residents’ key to access it. These can be issued from our office for fee.
Terrace gardens are communal and designed to be peaceful places for relevant residents to enjoy. To maintain their character and protect the trees, lawns, and flowerbeds, all use of the gardens are subject to the CEPC Garden Regulations.
Please be mindful that:
- Ball games, radios, bicycles, and noisy gatherings are not permitted in the gardens.
- The gardens are not suited to activities that may be more appropriate in private, enclosed spaces.
- While small family gatherings are welcome, social events with more than 10 attendees require prior approval from the Commission.
You can download a full copy of the Garden Regulations here:
If you are considering hosting an event in the garden, you will need a licence, please see our events page for more details.
Moving Out
When planning a move away from Regent’s Park, please think about the following points:
Preparing to move out
- Please arrange a parking suspension for your removal vehicle—either directly or through your removal company. A minimum of two working days’ notice is required.
- Many terraces cannot accommodate large removal vehicles or containers. Please confirm your arrangements with us in advance so that we can advise on suitability and arrange an appropriate parking suspension if needed.
- The charge for a parking suspension is as per our published charging schedule.
- If you require a hoist or crane for moving furniture, please contact us well in advance to obtain a licence and ensure appropriate access.
- Early communication regarding your moving requirements will help avoid delays and unexpected issues.
Notifying the Commission
- Please ensure all outstanding Commission rates and invoices are settled. If you provide your latest Rate Demand to your solicitor, they can arrange for an appropriate apportionment of charges.
- Return your Commission parking permit. Continued use of a Residents Parking Permit after moving out may result in your vehicle being parked in contravention of the Parking Regulations and the penalties therein may be applied.
- If relevant, return any electronic key fob for Park Square and Park Crescent Gardens. Fobs of former residents are regularly de-activated.
- Please provide details of the new occupants of your former property and confirm your forwarding details in case we need to contact you. This helps prevent future rate demands being misdirected to you.
