Dear Residents
As we expect you may be aware, the ground works for major project at Chester Terrace are all now completed. The contractor is now focusing on the balustrade and landscaping. The works are on target to be completed in August 2026. We will let residents and ratepayers know if the contractor is able to release access to the garden or to any parking spaces on Chester Terrace before then.
As part of the work to the balustrade, from Monday 6 April 2026, there will be intermittent road closures implemented in Chester Terrace to assist with the delivery of materials. These deliveries will also mean that Cumberland Place plus the northern and southern ends of Chester Terrace will need to be clear of parked cars. Should you currently park in these locations, please contact us if you require alternative areas to park.
It is anticipated that these deliveries will take place in April, May and June 2026. They will not take place daily. We currently have the following dates for April 2026 (more will follow in due course and these could be subject to change):
- Wednesday 8 April 2026
- Friday 10 April 2026
- Tuesday 14 April 2026
- Tuesday 21 April 2026
- Tuesday 28 April 2026
