Domestic Resident
Mark Bennett has been a domestic resident of Regent’s Park since 2018. Mark is a solicitor and has spent the majority of his professional life as a partner at a City law firm. Since 2018 he has been the senior legal counsel to a large international charity.
Mark was appointed a Commissioner in 2021 for a 3 year term and is a member of the following Committee:

Domestic Resident
Leanne Clark has been a domestic resident of Regent’s Park for a number of years and is passionate about the heritage and community of the Regent’s Park area. She spent the first 10 years of her a career as a corporate lawyer at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and then as a partner of Irish law firm Matheson and now runs an executive search business.
Leanne was appointed a Commissioner in 2019 for a 4 year term and is a member of the following committees:

Head of Residential, The Crown Estate
Charles Copper is the Head of Residential at The Crown Estate. He is responsible for The Crown Estate’s residential portfolio which includes properties in Regent’s Park, St James’s and Kensington Palace Gardens. Prior to working for The Crown Estate, Charles spent seven years working for Grosvenor Estates.

Linda Crow is a Corporate Finance Partner in Philadelphia headquartered law firm Duane Morris. She has been a domestic resident of Regent’s Park since 2013.

John Dyer was appointed a Commissioner in 2021 for a 3 year term and is a member of the following:

Domestic Resident
Ajit is Chair of Infectious Diseases and Director of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Respiratory Infections Health Protection Research Unit at Imperial College London and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
He leads multidisciplinary public health research to protect the public from major respiratory infections including flu, TB and emerging threats such as COVID-19. He translates his research into practical solutions to improve diagnosis, screening and prevention of infectious diseases. As a Governor of The Science Museum he encourages public understanding of and engagement with science. He is committed to reversing ever-widening health inequalities by tackling the social determinants of health through innovative, community-based approaches, such as those pioneered by The Bromley by Bow Centre, Tower Hamlets, where he chairs the Trustee Board.
Ajit is a long-standing resident of Regent’s Park. He was appointed a Commissioner in 2018 for a 3 year term and reappointed for a 4 year term in 2021.

Domestic Resident
Marc has been a resident of Park Square for more than twenty years. He has had a long and successful career in the financial arena with Morgan Stanley and more recently as Executive Chair of Global Markets Commodities at Natixis. He has also spent the last twelve years chairing the charitable trust for The Friends of the French Institute, a role he is currently relinquishing in accordance with good governance.
Marc was appointed a Commissioner in January 2022 and became Chair in May 2022. Marc is a member of the following committees:

Domestic Resident
Carol Osborne is a partner with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, a global law firm, and is the leader of the Retail and Consumer Products sector for the firm. She has lived in Regent’s Park since 2015.
Carol was appointed a Commissioner in 2020. She is a member of the following committee:

Business Resident
Deborah Saunt is a co-founding Director of the architecture, urban design and spatial research studio DSDHA, whose projects include the redesign of the public realm around the Royal Albert Hall, the public realm framework for the West End, including the reimagining of Tottenham Court Road, and a new park for the City of London above the tracks of Liverpool Street Station.
She gained her PhD with the RMIT Practice Research Programme, and a Fellowship in the Built Environment from the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851. Deborah is a Trustee of the London School of Architecture, of which she was a Founding Director.

Chief Executive, The Royal Parks
Andrew Scattergood was appointed in July 2015 as the Chief Executive of The Royal Parks. His organisation manages 8 royal parks, including Regent’s Park. Andrew Scattergood is an ex-officio Commissioner appointed in 2015.

Alan Sherling is a chartered management accountant whose career has been spent restructuring, reorganising, and developing client businesses. Alan has been resident in Regent’s Park since 2013 and was appointed a Commissioner in 2023 for a 3 year term. He is a member of the following Committees:

Appointment of Commissioners
Recommendations for appointments are made to the Lords of His Majesty’s Treasury usually following a competitive selection process managed by the current body of Commissioners. Appointees are traditionally, but not necessarily, drawn from Commission rate paying leaseholders of the Crown Estate properties at Regent’s Park or at Carlton House Terrace. Appointments are made with the aim of ensuring that the Commission has available to it an appropriate balance of skills, experience and professional expertise in order to conduct its operation.
Whilst the appointment process aims to achieve a broad representation of ratepayers from different terraces or areas, Commissioners have a duty to act in the best interest of the Commission along with collective responsibility for decisions, rather than representing the interests of the terrace or area in which they may live or work. Appointments are made for an initial term and subject to a subsequent re-appointment process for further term(s). Commissioners receive no remuneration and do not claim any expenses arising from their duties.
